A sunken oval sitting area nestled in a grove of ancient olive trees provides respite and retreat from worldly cares. With scale and dimensions ideally suited for relaxed and intimate conversations, as well as the sharing of good food and wine, this modern design was envisioned as the perfect picnic spot for a romantic couple or small group of friends. A steel water runnel originating from a small spring cuts through the bench top and drops into the sunken gravel center, releasing gentle notes that mix with the sound of the wind-rustled olive branches above.
