In today’s hustle culture, we’ve grown away from nature and its abundant gifts. In this presentation, Teresa Sabankaya, author of The Posy Book, and the upcoming Modern Floriography, reminds us to slow down a little and savor the many gifts of nature. Teresa’s floral career, spanning over 25 years as a farmer-florist and flower shop owner has taught her that there are so many messages and sentiments that our gardens and its flowers, plants, and trees want to share with us. She will be demonstrating how to prim and proper them up into beautiful presentation gifts for others that need to feel the healing power of flowers and their symbolic messages. Teresa will have her book and other language of flowers curated items available for sale at her event. shares how inspiring and beautiful a simple bunch of roses, dahlia, or even garden-grown zinnias can be when they are used in floriography. Using our garden flowers and even nursery plants to convey our wishes, thoughts, and sentiments to others can be extraordinarily rewarding. Teresa will teach the audience how they can turn the copious gifts from nature into memorable gifts and tokens of love and care.
